Theme Rationale
The word Ducimus originates from Latin, meaning "we lead." Its power lies not in the idea of one leader standing before many, but in the collective voice of humanity moving forward together. In diplomacy, no nation changes the world alone.
Every landmark achievement in history- the creation of international law, the eradication of diseases, peace treaties after conflict, global climate agreements-was never the product of a single visionary. It was the result of countless individuals choosing cooperation over division. That is why our theme is not Dux ("leader"). It is Ducimus, meaning "We lead" Together.
Leadership is often mistaken for authority. But authority is given; Leadership is earned. At FOBISIA MUN, leadership is measured not by how loudly one speaks, but by how effectively one listens. Not by how many debates one wins, but by how many people one brings together. Not by individual recognition, but by collective progress.
Ducimus reminds us that the future is never discovered, it is built.
